Company tachograph card reader

About the company tachograph card reader

The card reader offered by CargoTrack allows remote connection to the tachograph in the vehicle to download the data from the driver card and forward it to the CargoTrack platform.

What is a company tachograph card reader and how does it work?

The card reader records the driver's activity times – driving, rest, breaks, etc. – and stores the information in the tachograph.

The card lets you lock the data recorded in the tachograph to prevent information theft or simply to keep it secure. This is especially important when vehicles in your fleet are sold or simply rented out.

A company tachograph card reader also lets you remotely download tachograph information so you can check data such as drivers' driving or break hours.

Company tachograph card reader notes:

  • The data obtained is in a format adopted by all European countries (.ddd).

Fines

Keep in mind that if you wait too long to read the data, you risk fines of €100 – €4,400 per violation per tachograph.
